Vision::

“To be a community transformed by Christ, reaching seekers and building believers into whole-hearted followers of Jesus.”

Mission::

CONNECT.

Connect with God, connect with others and help others connect with God.

Essential Values::  Guiding the mission.

Relationships.

Building a healthy, biblically-functioning community. (Acts 2:42)  Christ-followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. This includes the concepts of personal authenticity, character, and wholeness—Ephesians 4:25– 26, 32, Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 1:6.

Evangelism.

We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church, that is why we desire to reach seekers with the message of Jesus.  This includes the concepts of relational evangelism and evangelism as a process—Luke 5:30–32, Luke 15, Matthew 18:14

Discipleship.

Discipleship, training up those in Christ to become whole-hearted followers.  “Go and make disciples” (Matt 28:18-20)  Doing life together, discipleship is caught more than taught.  The practice of Spiritual Formation, practicing the spiritual disciplines and most importantly, being transformed by God. i.e. prayer, meditation on God’s word, community, solitude, secrecy, giving, service, celebration.  Greatest commandment, Love God –heart, soul, mind & Love others as yourself. (Matt 22: 36-40)

Engaging Environments.

Fostering environments to engage others into community, spiritual growth, and service.  Culturally relevant, but doctrinally pure.  From our weekend service, mid-sized groups, and small groups. Paul - Mars Hill (Acts 17:22-24, 1 Corinthians 9:19–23)

Giving.

Giving of your time to serve others.  Giving of your God-given giftedness to serve others.  Giving back of your God-given resources, what we call “Giving yourself Away.”  The pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer. This includes the concepts of stewardship, servanthood, downward mobility, and the pursuit of kingdom goals—1 Kings 11:4, Philippians 2:1–11, 2 Corinthians 8:7.

Strategic Service.

Delegation of Ministry to entire community of believers, everyone a minister.  Development of Spiritual Gifting of each believer, help them find their strength, cultivate it, and serve others with that gift.  The church should be led by men and women with leadership gifts.  This includes the concepts of empowerment, servant leadership, strategic focus, and intentionality—Nehemiah 1–2, Romans 12:8, Acts 6:2–5.  The church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women stewarding their spiritual gifts. This includes the concepts of unity, servanthood, spiritual gifts, and ministry callings—1 Corinthians 12 and 14, Romans 12, Ephesians 4, Psalm 133:1

Excellence.

In every aspect of the church we do things with excellence.  High-quality, well-prepared, organized, and well-executed.  Companies and businesses go to great extents to offer products and services that are excellent, how much more should the church be excellent as we are not offering a product, but the message of a life-changing relationship with Christ. We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people.  This includes the concepts of evaluation, critical review, intensity, and excellence—Colossians 3:17, Malachi 1:6–14, Proverbs 27:17

Biblical Authority.

Guides our leadership, decisions, strategy and conduct.  God has the first and last word in all directional matters of the church, to the best of our ability to listen to His leading.

Strategy

“Invest and Invite” to the weekend service (front door) or other groups within RRC (back door).  Invest in people’s lives and invite them to come.

“Growth into Groups” as people attend, we make it easy for them to find pathways to get connected into group life at RRC.  Small and Mid-sized groups, along with Starting Line and RRU opportunities.  Life change happens best in group life, where there is accountability, belonging, and care.

“Give yourself Away” once you call RRC your home, it is time to get off the bench and join the team.  As we attempt to follow God to the best of our abilities, identify how God has wired you and then become a volunteer and/or leader and use your God-given giftedness, resources, and time to others.  As we give to others, we actually are the ones receiving.
