Our Vows Premarital Class was created to help dating, engaged, or newly married couples learn more about the marriage relationship, be equipped with tools and techniques that cultivate deeper connection, and implement effective practices that foster healthy, Christ-centered relationships. Each class will be taught by highly skilled professional counselors who specialize in the week’s topic. The class is offered twice each year taking place in February and August. The topics that are covered include: a biblical foundation of marriage, communication, conflict resolution, family of origin, marital expectations, relationship roles, affection, intimacy, relational-joy, and much more. Thrive: Women in the Word

Fall 2024 — Registration Open

Thrive is a gathering of women from all walks of life who seek to study God’s Word together. It’s our desire to constantly grow in our knowledge and understanding of God through exploring different biblically-based studies. Our newest study will be “Luke in the Land” by Kristi McLelland.

In our Bibles, we have four Gospels describing Jesus’s time on earth: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The land of Israel—the place Jesus walked and taught during His earthly ministry—is often referred to as the “fifth Gospel.” Follow Kristi McLelland through Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of the Bible took place. Over 7 sessions, challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos that take you to locations in Israel like Bethlehem, the Sea of Gallilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you’ll see how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everybody. Join us as we seek to grow in community and our faith as we venture into this amazing study of God’s Word.

The Joy-Filled Relationship

Fall 2024 — Registration Open

We were all designed to find fulfillment within our relationships; however, that does not take place without challenges. Why is it that we sometimes feel more connected than other times in our relationships? Perhaps you find it easy and exciting to spend time with your loved ones—or perhaps, especially when things do not go according to plan, you feel incapable of connecting or communicating with them. You then feel distant from those you love most. What if the answer to remaining connected in your relationships has been right under your nose—or, rather, right inside your head all along? Discover the simple switch in your brain that activates—or deactivates—what you most need for relational connectivity: joy. In this class, you will learn how the simple flip of this brain switch either enables you to remain present for those around you or causes you to become overwhelmed—and ultimately inhibited from being your best self when challenges arise. You’ll also learn how to maximize your relational brain, how to recognize when your brain’s joy switch is flipped, and how to take steps to restore your relational connectivity. Whether you are married or wanting to deepen your relationships with others, the Joy-Filled Relationship class seeks to help you love others and remain fully connected with yourself, while being the best version of who God made you to be.

Jesus, Atheism, and the Case for Christianity

Spring 2024 — Registration Closed

“Honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. However, do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15-16a) As Christians, the challenges to our faith are fired at many angles by a skeptical world. If we are honest, we can even face these struggles within our own hearts. The questions are hard, and they are many: How do I really know God exists and cares about me? Is the God of the Old Testament the same as the God of New Testament? How can we know for sure that the Bible is God’s actual word and can be trusted? How could all the other religions be wrong, don’t they have some truth also? What do they think about Jesus? Does the Bible and science disagree? Did God create us or did we evolve? What is God doing about all the evil and suffering in the world? These questions are daunting, but don’t be discouraged. Your Christian faith holds the key to these answers. By the end of this class, you will be empowered in your own belief and in your engagement with a skeptical world.
